Parent Orbit and Parent Lounge

Our Parent Portal includes Parent Orbit and Parent Lounge.  Parent Orbit is our new College App and your central hub for important College information.  The app integrates seamlessly with Parent Lounge which is a web-based version of Parent Orbit.

Parent Orbit App

Parent Orbit is where you can do the following on your smartphone:

  • Instant notifications – access important College communications, alerts, Chev Need to Knows and Chev News (be sure to enable Notifications).
  • Excursions – approve excursion attendance and access important excursion details.
  • Attendance – advise the College of absences and track your child’s attendance.
  • Extra Curricular – access your child’s training sessions and upcoming fixtures.
  • School Calendar – stay informed about school events, meetings, and important dates.       
  • Student eDiary and Timetable – view your child’s timetable and eDiary including excursions, extracurricular training sessions, and sports fixtures.
  • Medical details – view and keep your child’s medical details up to date.
  • Academic reports – coming soon! Reports will be available at the first reporting period in 2024.

 Download instructions

  • Download ParentOrbit from the AppStore OR Google Play
  • Enter school code: chevalier
  • Tap ‘Login’
  • Continue as prompted through the sign in process (using the login details you have set up with the College)
  • Allow the App access to all information…and you are in!  Be sure to enable Notifications.
Parent Lounge 

Parent Lounge is the web-based version of the Parent Orbit app.  The lounge and the app contain the same information.  Follow the link below to log in using your College log in details.

Canvas

Canvas, our Learning Management System (LMS), is a key part of every Chev student’s educational experience. Canvas provides students with learning resources, assessment tasks notifications and feedback, a mark-book for tracking progress, discussions, their home learning calendar, and much more.

Parents can effectively support their children by becoming ‘observers’. This process has been streamlined  to make access and use easier and we would encourage every parent to use their account so they can see what home learning (home work), assessment tasks and projects students need to undertake.
