One of the contributing elements which takes Chevalier’s academic education to the next level is our Enrichment Program. This program actively demonstrates our commitment to academic care and how we translate this philosophy into direct action. Whilst we actively identify gifted and talented students and give them appropriate support and guidance, we also identify students who possess a passion for a particular subject or students with untapped potential.
We then develop programs that build on the work in the classroom to inspire these students to take ownership of their intelligence and focus on the possibilities of the academic world. Those taking part help to build a culture of working hard to achieve success. This program aims to catch students at an early stage to ignite the recognition of their own abilities and self-worth.
We are also excited to announce some enhancements to our enrichment program. After much consideration and review, the college has decided to introduce an enrichment class in Years 8 to 10, commencing in 2021. There will also be scope to introduce an enrichment class in Year 7 in Semester 2. For further information regarding the enrichment classes, please read the letter from Rebecca Graham, Assistant Principal – Learning and Teaching, here.
Chevalier College acknowledges and pays respect to the Gundungurra people, the Traditional Custodians of Country and the First People of the land on which our college is located. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and are committed to honouring First Nations Peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual connection to Country.
