Summer Sport Finals

Saturday 13 March was lucky for some teams playing in the final matches of the ISA Summer season. Finals are always fun and we also had a perfect morning weather-wise for games. The Chev grounds are looking as good as ever.

Locally, the Junior Cricketers were playing in the local derby against Oxley. Chev batted solidly with Rohan D. and Louie K. our best in a total of 94.

Oxley batted superbly with only one wicket lost to pass the Chev total, with plenty of overs to spare.

In the cricket match on the Main Oval, Chev were up against St Spyridon and posted a good total of 9/164.

Nick C. was best with the bat with 85 and was well supported at the back end of the innings by Kelson B.

In the run chase, the Chev bowlers dominated to knock over the St Spyridon batters for only 30.

In the Basketball at school Patrick Bartlett’s fantastic 5 were winners 22-17 against Oakhill, topping off a great season.

The team of Liam D., David F., Xavier O., Marshall P. and Tanishq S. all deserve to be congratulated.

The girls playing at Barker were both winners, with our Chev Junior A team taking out top spot.

The Junior B Girls at Penrith had a great season but were narrowly defeated by Central Coast in their final.

And our super Girls Touch teams won 3 out of the 4 finals they participated in:

Chev 2 (2-1), Chev 4 (5-0 pictured below) and Chev 7 (5-1) teams were all winners.

Chev 6 (0-3) Juniors came up against a well drilled Oxley team.

For the Chev 2 Girls Sara L. led the team really well; and for Chev 4 Annie W. stood out

It was great that our Show Team could also finally attend a show – read Chev reigns at parading for Verity Gett’s highlights from these events at the Moss Vale Show.

Chev 4 Touch Football Girls enjoyed a 5-0 win over Barker in the 2021 ISA Summer Finals
